History


The Pamantasan ng Bayan ng San Mateo  was established by the Municipality  of San Mateo, Rizal by virtue of Ordinance No. 2004  - 013.

On June 2, 2011, PBSM was renamed to San Mateo Municipal College through Ordinance No. 2011-008.

 Philosophy


The Heart of Education is the transformation of the Human Person into a “Universal Man” in harmony with Nature and  Life transcending the barriers of race, creed and  human imperfection.

  1. To prepare the students to become useful citizens, God-fearing, value-oriented and  disciplined individuals, who are universally competitive professionals engaged in the noble task of uplifting the quality of life in the community.
  2. To instill in the hearts &  minds of the students the core values and  ideals of TRUTH, JUSTICE and  INTEGRITY.
  3. To develop the whole person (mind, body and  spirit) for the total physical and  spiritual development of the human person.
